Hi, I have a 2004 BMW Z4, and the rain sensor, for automatic wipers, has broken. Apparently, you need to replace the whole windshield to fix this (if you know different, let me know!), so my question is... is it possible for me to claim for this under my insurance? My windshield excess is 70, but I assume that is for when the windshield is cracked or damaged etc. So, seeing as mine is not damaged, only the sensor, is there any way I can claim? (I don't even know the annual premium) but that is third party and I am only a named driver on my mums policy with 2 years of no claims. I have NEVER crashed or damaged anyone elses property in any way. I understand that young driver insurance is expensive but my insurance still seems to be twice as expensive as any of my friends. Could someone please point me in the direction of a young driver specialist insurance who is actually cheap as I have been on these websites before and I get quoted ridiculous figures such as 12,000! Please help me I am pulling my hair out.

Should we switch from Geico to Farmers Insurance?

We moved cross country and a local Farmers insurance agent is perstering us to get our business... she is actually a nice person. The deal we would get here would be cheaper than with Geico, but I had a bad experience with Farmers a long time ago (They were great until I had an accident, then they slapped me with a huge increase in premium. It wasn't even entirely my fault. anybody had good experiences with Farmers Insurance or should I just stay away from them?

I received a call today from my JOB PROVIDED Health insurance company. The representative asked me a number of questions about what I have done about my epilepsy and what medications I am currently on. Why did they call me? My mother said that they do this to determine if they are going to drop you or not. Can they drop me even though it is provided threw my job?

Ok we have been married for 10 years with 2 small boys. My husband works, I don't. I think he needs disability insurance and life insurance just in case something happens to him. And maybe even life insurance on me and the boys to cover at least funeral costs.. He thinks it's a big waste of money but I think we should. Also, my sister asked me if I would take her boys if something happen to her and brother-n-law. I said of course!! She told me that I would then get XX amt. of money from her life insurance... She also stated it's in their will!! OMG do I need a will too. What do I need in this will. I don't want my kids in foster care so I should name some people who would care for our boys..

Looking for a good first car, one with low insurance rates preferably?

I just turned 16 and am currently in the market to buy a car. I am looking for something in the price range of around $2,000, possibly a small four cylinder pick up, or a japanese sedan. Does anyone have any sugestions for a good first car, and if any one has expeiriance with insurance can you tell me a price range of what I would be looking at for isurance, I have good grades and looking for a minnimum policy in Florida. Thanks if anyone can help me although I know I probably wont get much help with the insurance part.
